For the first time in our history, we are bringing together every branch of the Bourke and Burke family — all descendants of John “Jack” Bourke, the Irish voyager whose extraordinary journey carried our shared ancestry across the Pacific.

From Ireland to the Kingdom of Tonga, onward to Aotearoa New Zealand, and later to Samoa, Jack Bourke’s legacy created the foundation for both the Burke and Bourke family lines we know today. Though our surnames may differ slightly, we all come from one story, one ancestor, one beginning.

Over generations, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren have built families enriched by Irish roots, Pacific cultures, and the enduring strength of connection. Today, Bourke and Burke descendants can be found across the Pacific and all over the world.
